Isabel wakes up at about 5:30AM in order to get to school before Mom and Dad have to be at work. It can be difficult to wake her up at times and she can be a little grumpy. Mom discovered that music is the quickest way to wake her, and Michael Buble seems to make her the happiest in the morning. Many times she is fully awake and standing within seconds of starting "Feeling Good". Others she is a little slower, but definitely dancing by the middle of the song...

One, Two, Three, Duck!
One...Two...THREE! She has started counting! She probably does not realize she is even counting, but she knows that something fun usually happens at three as that is usually when Daddy tosses her in the air!
Feeding the ducks at Tom Bass Park
"Duck!"
Summer at the Park
Summer in Houston is is full swing and Isabel has been braving the humidity to head to the park to conquer the playground and feed her feathered friends! She has since discovered how thrilling it is to have the wind blowing through your pigtails while flying down slides. She has also been introduced to the magical world of breadcrumbs and ducks. We have just celebrated her 18month birthday and while she is enjoying a world full of new words, we are enjoying decreased daycare tuition! Isabel says many words now including: Mama, Dada, dog, ball, duck, sock, eye, what's that?, no, one, two, three, baby, uhoh. She also signs for "more" and "all done". She shakes her head "no", but we dont think she understand what that means as we will ask her if she wants something, she will shake her head, and then reach for it. She uses a fork and spoon fairly well, but has started to get a little finicky. She is still a good eater and we have even seen her pick green beans out of pasta to eat the beans!
